In my experience with Microsoft Teams they’re really trying to imitate other products out there, that are usually more mature, less buggy and respond much faster.
I tried setting up one of their Trello like kanban boards and sharing it across multiple users and managers but the design of it all broke down in some way compared to what is on offer at Atlassian or even the simpler to use Trello. There’s also certain things in their API that is lacking that prevents users from effectively synchronizing Microsoft’s solutions with other productivity tools from Trello and Atlassian as well.
Overall I find using anything from Microsoft Teams or Office 365 to be cumbersome in general. I’d rather use 3rd party tools in my work personally, but very large organizations can’t reasonably do that — they want the control of AD and permissions. It’s understandable, but at the same time it can hurt productivity and people that want to spend more time creating solutions that matter rather than working on a problem that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
